Key Tasks
At this internship, I focused on content creation through photo editing, blog writing, and video creation for various social media and email campaigns. I proposed campaigns that covered newly hired interns, sustainability practices, and social media advocacy within the company. I also performed data visualization for blog traffic and analyzed social media and PR metrics to determine best strategies.
In 2019, I obtained a digital marketing internship with Transwestern, a commercial real estate in Houston, Texas. As a junior student, I was able to further my skills in a B2B company and practice adapting to a new industry. I read online news articles, observed social media competitors, and attended company events around downtown Houston to see the growing commercial landscape.
During my internship, I edited many photos and implemented a new Adobe Lightroom preset for the company. Furthermore, I was able to learn video editing on Adobe Premiere and created many videos for different campaigns. For my public relations project, I was able to create my first blog through the company as a ghost writer. Lastly, I was able to learn new programs such as Microsoft BI, Sprout Social, and Meltwater to analyze various data and manage social content. Read each project description below for more information.
This campaign features new summer interns for increased social reach and engagement.

With more Gen Z members entering the workforce, it may be time for companies to start adapting to them. As an intern, I was assigned to ghost write an article about "attracting Gen Z workers to the office space". I wrote this article on behalf of Brian Zurek, a leading associate specialized in leasing office properties. After independent research, interviews, and revisions, my article was published in August 2019.
As an digital marketing intern, I worked closely with the Public Relations Manager. I was instructed to present the company's blog traffic data on Microsoft BI, a data visualization program, which I quickly learned for this project. This data would aid in understanding topic preferences and creating benchmarks for KPI's.
During my internship, I learned to use Social Sprout for social media bulk-scheduling and Meltwater for public relation management. I learned the analysis functions for Sprout Social and the benefits of tagging noteworthy articles with Meltwater for content curation.
