To utilize traditional, out-of-home marketing collateral to coincide with our digital marketing funnel, I used QR codes on our business cards, door hangers, and yard signs to allow customers to use their smartphones to find our website. Not only does the QR code link to our website, but also our educational pet blog, special promotions to our puppy package service, and our survey link to gain more reviews.

Continuing the social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram, I created a new Tik Tok page for Posh Pets Houston which led me to repurpose these videos for Instagram reels. I researched both Instagram and Tik Tok algorithms to improve social media metrics. I learned that the newest trending music is important for virality on Tik Tok, while Instagram is not as dependent on the music choice. Furthermore, Instagram can detect Tik Tok watermarks on video uploads which will cause the video to not have higher exposure, while a non trademarked video will do much better. I found more success on Instagram than Tik Tok with short, entertaining videos. I suspect that Tik Tok would be a better platform for information sharing (e.g. product reviews, personal stories, etc.) and on-the-rise trends. Tik Tok algorithms concerning best times to upload will constantly change, so it's best to continue researching and looking for updates. On Instagram reels, I was able to have video exposure of 26 x more than our Instagram following and 30 x more likes than normal Instagram posts. Regardless, video content creation is a powerful and effective tool for gaining a following, especially for smaller businesses.
